Salems own hometown style pharmacy. I've known this place since a child in the 60's. BEST Orange/Lime-ades on the planet!! Fantastic personal pharmacy service. Knowledgeable and kind staff. Home delivery, including Saturdays. You don't get that at the big box pharmacies!

The Pharmacist at Brooks-Byrd: Mr. Brooks, has a very friendly demeanor and excellent customer service skills. This is probably one of the few Vintage pharmacies still in business, handed down thru the generations of Pharmacist in his family. It is decorated with antiques from the turn of the century, including the seasonal Santa decorations that have to be 40-50 years old. I want to applaud the employees also of Brooks-Byrd, which are mostly high school and college kids for there exceptional service and consistency. This is a wonderful shop all the way around from the business services to the historical experience, I highly recommend the inexpensive and friendly service of Brooks-Byrd for your pharmacy needs.

I've been coming to Brooks-Byrd since I was a little fellow & I can honestly say not much has changed & in this case that's a good thing... Brooks-Byrd is a landmark in the small city of Salem & while so many other businesses on Main St. have moved on, closed or just folded & became all but a memory, BB has stood the the test of time & kept they're small town charm. BB's a private owned pharmacy & unlike big business pharma they still put the customers first & everything else second. Mr. Brooks knows all his patrons & calls them by name... BB still has free delivery & you can open an account w/ them. If they don't have what you need, they'll get it asap ! I've personally seen Mr. Brooks stay over to fill my prescriptions just so I wouldn't have to go without ! Try getting that done @ Wal-Mart ! The staff are as kind as the day is long & anyone who doesn't know what an Orangeade is, you need to take the time to find out, you won't be sorry ! Salem's so fortunate to have Brooks-Byrd still around it can't all be put into words. One of few remaining old-time businesses that's still alive in a world that's changed so much & certainly not always for the best... Many thanks to Mr. Brooks & his staff, you guy's are the best....
