If you are buying (especially spending $$$) any jewelry store will give you good attention. I found that I would also receive great repair and refurbishing here. Friendly, with quality, and speed. No waiting for a week or two.
*If you're time challenged make one call and they'll take your card, wrap the gift and have it ready for pickup. It doesn't get any easier!
I recently visited R.M Johnson & Sons, to have a ring sized. The staff was incredibly friendly, the work was immaculate, and the work was done in much less time than anyone else quoted me. The price was great as well. Their jewelry is beautiful, and they also have a large selection that is hand made in house. I plan on visiting soon to complete my Christmas shopping. I was referred to them by a friend, and I plan on referring them as well.

A convenient little store to buy off the rack, but definitely not the place to go for a personal design. After shopping here for years, I tried to have a unique piece made to celebrate a significant life change. The experience was disappointing at best. Designer does not interact directly with clients, and his handlers were negative, unresponsive and did not communicate well with each other. Have since gone to a designer in Roanoke County with amazing results.
